AKC & SKC Ch. Pella's Fire From Heaven CD, JH, VC, CGC winning the Bred By Exhibitor Class at the Irish Setter Club of America National Specialty in 1992 in Portland, Oregon.

Flame was the first Irish Setter to carry the Pella Kennel name.  He had all the B's, big, bold, brainy, birdy and above all Beautiful (and he knew it).  Flame was my constant companion for 12 years.  He was my first show dog.  He finished his AKC Championship with 2 Bests of Breed from the classes and he won the Bred By Exhibitor Class at the Irish Setter Club of America National Specialty in 1992.  He finished his SKC title with a Group I and a Group II. He also had an obedience title and he finished his Junior Hunter title at 11 years of age.  He was also a great ambassador for the breed, he was friendly, outgoing, exuberant and more than a little conceited.  Flame believed that everybody’s purpose in life was to tell him he was beautiful and give him cookies, I think he would have been truly mortified if he had ever figured out he was ONLY A DOG.

He was my pride and joy, constant companion and my best friend until he went to the Rainbow Bridge November 10, 1999.  He was a once in a lifetime dog, and I miss him terribly.
